OK, finally I’ve got a moment to update here. Sorry that I didn’t post anything sooner. Things haven’t gone exactly as the Doctors had originally planned….

On Thursday it started out when the surgery took almost 5 hours…it seems that they had to do more than they had anticipated…I was going about looney, couldn’t find anyone to actually tell me anything that was going on, and with no one to talk to, I was just imagining all sorts of things, none of them good. Man, I used to think I knew what lonely was, but that was about as alone lonely as I have ever been.

Then finally the dr. came out and called me into a conferance room and explained what they had just done, said Deb had come thru it ok, and was going to be in recovery for an hour, then I could see her, and she could go home on Friday.

That was about 1:00; at 5:00 I was finally told where Deb was and was allowed to go see her. She was having an extreme amount of pain, was being real sick, and was having real bad chest pain. As relieved as I was to finally see her, this did nothing to allay my worries. And everytime she had another episode of sickness or whatever, and I was chased out of the room, I was struggling to keep myself from losing it.

I finally came home around 11 that night (having been there since 6 that morning) and I was spent. I made what calls I had to make and then crashed. And I’ll be honest, that was a 3 pillow night, as the first two were very quickly soaked.

Woke up Friday and came down to the office to send out some email updates and update this blog, but instead I discovered that during the night the storm had caused the basement to flood. Just what I needed. Fortunately the computer and my photography stuff is all ok; alot of my Ebay stuff is ruined, and the carpet is just saturated. (Unfortunately it still is…I just haven’t had time to deal with moving everything, renting a wet vac and trying to get it all cleaned up)

So anyways, I’m sitting here in a puddle, it’s 1:45 a.m., Deb is still in the hospital, and now you’re somewhat updated.

Keep on praying for us folks, we sure do need it!
