A most excellent day with friends…and a surprise…

Some friends from church invited us over to their place for Thanksgiving dinner Thursday. It was a great day. Rod and Jeniece were just super. They also had two other couples over, so it was just so cool to sit and talk and relax and have a good time. This is the first time since the surgery that I had been out for any time at all, and believe me it was great!

While we were talking, I found something out about our host that I didn’t know. Their last name is Learned, so his name is Rod Learned. Does that name mean anything to any of you? How about to any of you who were into 80’s music? He was also on VH1 last year. Here’s a picture from that:

I was never into 80’s bands all that much, I was still doing a lot of the Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, David Alan Coe, Hank Williams Jr. thing during that time period. But I still thought that was pretty cool when I found that out.
