Daunte Culpepper - First Class Jerk

Posted By Paul on February 3, 2005

Just when you think that multi-millionaire professional athletes couldn’t sink much lower, Daunte Culpepper shows that the bottom isn’t even in sight yet.

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback presented a paralyzed high school football player two diamond necklaces worth about $75,000 during an NFL awards ceremony, but then awkwardly asked for them back after it was finished.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but still, you have to wonder what was going thru the moron’s brain to pull a stunt like that. To his credit, he promised to get Townsend “something else.”

Let’s hope it’s not an autographed picture of himself.

  1. My only explanation is this is a coordinated attempt by the Vikings players to take all the heat off of Randy Moss by finding ways to out-shame him. I expect that the next news story we’ll read is Michael Bennett dropping by an animal shelter to kick puppies.

  2. Actually - the AP got the story 100% wrong - http://www.startribune.com/stories/510/5221966.html

Culpepper was actually the good guy in all this.

BTW - I like the new design
