Lernerville’s Bauman Memorial Gold Crown weekend

The first set of photos are up from this past weekend’s two day event at Lernerville Speedway. Friday night the MACS late model series was the feature event, won by Mike Balzano. Also on the card for Friday night was the Pure Stocks (Butch Lambert) and the Mod Lites (Tracy Fritter).

Saturday night saw the BRP Modified Tour (far and away the best feature of the weekend) the All-Star sprints with the Mod Lites again rounding out the night. Kevin Bolland claimed the BRP victory, while Chad Kemenah won the sprint feature and Tracy Fritter made it 2 for 2 in the Mod Lites.

Also saw one of the most moronic moves by a driver ever when Lee Jacobs, decided to stop – intentionally – on the front stretch as the field was coming out of turn 4 to take the green flag. It seems Jacobs had been black-flagged for his spin outs and this cry-baby prima-donna didn’t like the call, so he decided to stop and throw a temper tantrum. His stunt could have resulted in serious injury or worse what with the whole field coming out of the turn to take the green flag. This idiot should NEVER EVER be allowed to sit in a race car anywhere.
