I’ve just upgraded this site to WordPress 2.0…..so far, no problems have surfaced. Hopefully that will continue to be the case. There have been some who have not had a good experience with this upgrade.

Edited to add: If you are thinking about upgrading, do yourself a favor and check out this post, where people are commenting on why they are NOT upgrading.
For what it is worth, I do NOT like the new way of uploading photos, and with everything else I am reading, I am holding off on upgrading any of my clients’ sites until such a time as 2.x is actually accomplishing something major.

Because this version makes some major changes to the database structure, it is not easily backward-compatible. That is why it is so important to BACKUP EVERYTHING before attempting an upgrade. Fortunately, masquerade has also created a script that will easily downgrade the WP database if you need to backtrack to 1.5.2.
Like I said, I haven’t had any problems yet, and am very much enjoying the new version; but it’s best to have as many backup tools and plans as possible.

I have heard mixed reviews of 2.0 also. I’m holding off for a while. Right now nothing is broken and I haven’t seen the real advantage for upgrading yet.
Hi Paul,
What are the new features that you like - I’ve had a poke around the site and can’t see a list, and I’d be interested to hear what you think?
Cheers - Steve
Actually, the more I use it, the less I’m inclined to update any of my other sites. The major ‘visible’ new feature is a WYSIWYG editor that I turned off immediately. Some of the new admin functions use AJAX to provide some fluffy glitter effects, but nothing that really makes a difference. 2.0 certainly doesn’t make WordPress ,em>bad, but it also doesn’t seem to do anything to actually improve it.
This post offers the best look at what is new in 2.0.
