Fantasy Football - That’s A Wrap 3 comments
Well, the fantasy football season has wound to an end, with most of my teams participating in some sort of playoff final game this past weekend.
I ended up having 7 different teams this year, something I would NOT recommend, and certainly something I’ll not do again.
Combined, my overall record was 55 wins and 38 losses, with one league not playing a head-to-head schedule. (Note: Leagues without head-to-head schedules tend to be extremely boring! Avoid when possible!)
Of the 6 teams in head-to-head play, 5 were involved in some sort of playoff, 3 were involved in the league championship, and 1 was involved in the Toilet Bowl championship (12 team league - top 4 in Super Bowl bracket, next for in Mediocre Bowl, Bottom 4 in Toilet Bowl)
I ended up winning 1 league championship and also winning the Toilet Bowl championship. For awhile this weekend I thought I might actually take all 3 league championships I was involved in, but Laveranues Coles sunk that hope last night!
I had fun playing, but like I’ve already mentioned, I doubt that I’ll ever play that many teams at one time again. (Until next season’s draft time rolls around and I get all caught up in the fun of live drafts again!)
Scores from this final weekend:
99 - 83 … League Champion!
108 - 69 … Toilet Bowl Champion
53 - 65 … League Runner-Up
98.98 - 112.17 … League Runner-Up
56 - 66 … Consolation game

Christmas Theme 2 comments
Just put up a new Christmas theme, grabbed it from V4NY Themes.
Does it work in the browser you are using? (If you’re reading via a reader, perhaps you could take a sec and pop in to check it out) I appreciate any feedback, and if something isn’t working, please let me know which browser (and version) you are using.
I also added a different Christmas Theme to Byron’s site, perhaps you could check it out as well?
Thanks all!
Glasses 1 comment
A couple of weeks ago my glasses broke. Didn’t do anything to them, the frame just snapped and broke. Without them I see nothing…literally.
I did manage to get a really dorky looking replacement frame (Only frame that would fit the size and shape of the old lenses). At least I can see now, but everything is just slightly ‘off’. The lenses are so strong that they are meant to be fitted in their frame just a certain way. They don’t fit these frames in that same way, so it puts everything just enough off-kilter as to make it very annoying.
The other day Byron took me down to get my eyes examined for new glasses.
I guess my eyes are a bit worse than I had thought they were. My vision is so bad that I have to get 2 pairs of glasses - one for near and one for far. I guess the difference between the two is so drastically different that bifocals wouldn’t be a good option. On top of that, it turns out that I have glaucoma. I don’t know alot about that, but it seems there is some kind of number system they use to measure that and it should be around 15 or less, mine was 29.
So now I have to go to an eye specialist and see just how bad it is, and how much damage has been done. Little bit worried about it (perhaps moreso after reading the wikipedia entry), but maybe that will help expalin some of these devasting headaches that I seem to have constantly.
Have to wait til at least next month to get the glasses, maybe then I can get at least one of the pairs, and perhaps the other pair the following month.
