And as that quote from Sheriff Andy Taylor so aptly summarized, Don Knotts really was something. Today the world lost one of it’s funniest men, as Don Knotts has passed away.

Everytime I try to list my all-time favorite TV shows, [tag]The Andy Griffith Show[/tag] (TAGS) is always right there at the head of the list. And Don Knotts is probably the leading reason for that fact. Andy was good, but let’s face it, TAGS just wasn’t the same show after [tag]Barney Fife[/tag] left.
I use a collection of different .wav files to notify me when new mail has arrived and at least 10 of the files that I rotate in and out are sound bites from TAGS involving Barney.
We salute you Don Knotts, and thank you for the memories.
