Astonishing Generosity

Tod Bolsinger has an absolutely amazing series of posts on his It Takes A Church blog. The theme is Astonishing Generosity.

He gathered that phrase from an N.T Wright book that he was reading, two words that were used to describe a key characteristic that Jesus’ expected of his followers.

I’ve seen the power of astonishing generosity first hand, from both ends….a friend showing up totally unexpected with 4 bags of groceries when the cupboard was truly bare…..a couple showing up when our vehicle had just given out for the last time with the keys and title to their vehicle….other things come to mind that I just don’t want to share in this format…

Astonishing generosity is a powerful thing. Jesus is revealed in it, His love shining out of it. It changes the world.
