Super Sunday And I Almost Don’t Care   2 comments

None of the teams that I wanted to be in the Super Bowl are actually in it, so it’s hard to get excited about the game. I’d like to have seen the Packers make it in so that I’d have had a team to really root for today, but of course Favre and company showed up wearing skirts in the frozen tundra game and promptly got bounced on their hindparts.

I guess I’ll root for the Giants, although it greatly pains me to root for a team with New York in their name, but I really don’t like the Patriots and I despise their arrogant coach.

By now, I’m sure most people have seen clips of Tom Brady’s 60 Minutes interview where he stated that, despite all his football accomplishments, he feels like there is something “missing”.

Here is sincerely praying that Mr. Brady will encounter the Speaker of these words:

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.

And finally, Mr Brady would be able to say that he HAS found what he is looking for….

  1. I, being a lifelong Green Bay fan felt the same way Paul, but I feel the same way about the Patriots, as I noted tonight in my blog. I am glad the Patriots lost. Just classless about the way Belicheck left the field. Embarrassing.
